It’s been 6 months since I seen you and spoke. It has become harder to even go to work because I miss our talks. You were one of the great ones that ever walked this Earth. I miss our talks about your family and y’all planning your trip up at the cabin for the holidays. I miss how we got to laugh through all the pain you were in. You never complained. Oh how if I could go back in time and take the pic of how happy you were to have some cookies and cream ice cream with me, that would have been the best. I know that your resting and your pain and suffering is no more. It’s just hard to accept that your gone. You always told me “ my kids are so lucky to have a good mother like me, and to keep being there for them”. I miss you at work, and even though you never got to meet my kids in person you are now watching over them in spirit...Thank you for being the light in my life and showing such Grace to me and my family. Wish nothing but the best for your family.

Ed (my Bro) & Nancy, I love both of you deeply.  I don't understand why bad things happen to good people such as you two.  This is in addition to my earlier heart felt thoughts & memories of Erik. Once again, we are so sorry for this devastating loss of your son.  As I said, I felt Erik's spirit after the funeral. He lives on! He's at peace. I truly believe this.  As we get together, we will always have a toast to your loving son's memory until we see him on the other side. Know that we are there for you at any time in these difficult times.

I was really looking forward to hanging out with you outside of work, you kept telling me "Once I get better we will grab a beer." You are a great person I wish I knew you longer than I have. You truly made it seem like everyone was your bestfriend. I wish you the best and your family the best. I still don't believe it man, I will never forget you laughing at the elevators Thursday night/friday morning.....the drives home are not the same. Miss you man, Till Valhalla.

As we say goodbye to you and let you rest, all that is thought of is knowing that you’re in peace. No one will know what made you make that decision, or what had finally pushed you over the edge. And with not knowing that, it makes it harder and harder to understand. I just wish you would’ve known how loved, and supported you were by so many people. As I looked around I see so many people that talked so highly of the person who had the kindest soul, brightest personality, and handsome smile. And that is how we’ll remember you. Always. No one knows what people are going through and what goes through their mind. The best of people always taken way too soon. Please check up on the ones dearest to you. Tell them you love them, don’t ignore little signs. Let them know they’re appreciated, and need to be here to live this amazing thing called life. Life is way too precious and too short. Rest easy, Erik. I’m grateful for all of the times we were able to hang out and catch up with each other over the years. You meant the world to my cousin and always showed me the same brotherly love you gave to him.  I’ll always remember how much of a kind hearted, friendly, easy going guy you were, how much you and Ry loved going to shows together and how you both shared a mutual appreciation for the band Everclear. You are cherished by so many and will always be remembered. 

Erik, your contagious smile and your warm heart will forever live on in our memories. You always had a way of making people around you feel loved and listened to. I cherish the memories I have of all of us cousins growing up together. Hanging out at family parties at Grandpa K’s house, jumping on your trampoline, and having a little too much fun drinking at Houghton Lake. I hope you have found peace and know your presence will be deeply missed. All my love to Uncle Ed and Aunt Nancy ❤️

Really going to miss you, Erik. I've been thinking back to some of the good old times playing football at St. Isaac's and going to punk rock concerts in high school (MxPx really sticks out in particular - thank you for convincing me to go). Glad that I could call you a friend, and glad that we reconnected over the past few years. I didn't get to see you often, but whenever we did get the chance to meet up,  you were always a joy to be around. Your warmth and sense of humor will be greatly missed. RIP brother

Holding you all close in thought and prayer every minute. Erik was one of the kindest people I've ever known. His smile was contagious and we were always so happy when he was able to join us at gatherings. Every time I think of Erik, I think of his smile and his caring heart for those around him. He will be missed by so many and we'll always carry him in our hearts. 

Rest in peace my dear sweet cousin...gone way too soon. You are going to be terribly missed by so many😭. 
We will forever be missing your kind words, and feeling your warm hugs and seeing your precious smile and we will always remember how much you loved us. Erik was,my first cousin but  I always  considered  him as my "nephew "He was a, very sweet and thoughtful  young man always a pleasure  to be around ,There are so many beautiful memories of the many partys, holidays many of them at Ed and Nancy house, I know I can speak for my entire family that  life will never be the same  without you, Rest in peace our dear Erik you will be dearly missed  All  our love  to Ed and Nancy

I hadn’t known Erik long, but for the time I did he was an amazing, caring, kind soul. I was honoured to have him walk me to my husband (his best friend Ryan) on the day of our wedding and I’ll never forget the times we shared. My condolences to Nancy and Ed. 

      Erik was a huge part of our lives.  A sensitive and gentle soul that made a deep impression in our hearts.  Best friend to my son Ryan Adams, since they were 10 years old.  
      From silly kids through their teen years to young adults they always had a special bond.  Both being only children, they found a brother in each other.
      Their love for music and concerts always gave them something to talk about, plan and look forward to.  When they were out together,  I never worried because they looked out for each other, and were always there through thick and thin.
      Our lives are forever changed without Erik in our world.  Sending  prayers of strength to you dear Nancy and Ed, for your great loss.


This was a night we all say everclear, well was my first. As for Big Ric and Ryan Adams have seen them probably 20 times. This sadly is the only photo I have of all three of us. You will be greatly missed and forever loved. 

Erik, our time together was far too short, but I will always cherish the times we did share. I loved laughing and commiserating with you. You always impressed me with your encyclopedic knowledge of 90s music and the fact that you knew the true merits of a good burger or pizza. I'll miss talking sports, talking music, talking about life, sharing tequila and Tecates. I'll miss you man. It was always a pleasure to be in your company. I hope you've found peace my friend. I'll miss you, and my deepest sympathy to your family and all those who loved you too.

My prayers, thoughts and love to Ed and Nancy....Eric was so very special, always a smile and gentle spirit.   So happy and eager to show me his drawings, and things he wanted to invent.  Always willing to help and going one step further to get things done.   He will always have a place in my heart and I will never forget Eric.
Such a wonderful and caring young man.
