Eva Mae Joy, age 79, of Harrison Township, Michigan passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. She was born on April 4, 1945, to parents George and Florence Soley. On August 23, 1968, she married Michael Joy and together would celebrate 56 years together. However, from day one this remarkable, talented and inspirational lady has been a true joy to all those fortunate enough to have been graced by her presence. We fondly remember and cherish an abundance of pleasant and enduring memories and we prayerfully look forward to the celestial reunion when we too will be dwelling in the House of the Lord forever. Loving mother to Kevin Joy and Gwen (Greg Sorter) Joy. Dear sister in law to Eileen (William) Frey, James (Virginia) Joy. Eva was preceded in death by her brother Robert Soley and brother in law Patrick Joy. Eva will be missed by many family and friends.
Eva was a gifted gardener, jolly in nature and renowned as a teacher.
Eva will lie in-state on Friday, August 16, 2024, beginning at 10:30 am, until time of mass at 11:00 am, at St Hubert Catholic Church 38775 Prentiss Street, Harrison Township, Michigan 48045.
Visitation will take place Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
Memorial donations in memory of Eva are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
