George was born on April 23, 1948, to John George and Dorothy Eiswirth. He graduated from Austin Catholic High School in 1966 and went on to build a career as a pipe fitter. George proudly served his country in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued to serve his community by volunteering as an Eastpointe police officer reserve.
George was known as an outgoing, fun-loving man who would do anything to help a friend. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and enjoyed spending time with the people he loved most. George loved to bartend and always enjoyed being behind the bar with friends and family. Later in life, he fulfilled a longtime dream of owning a bar, something that brought him great pride and joy.
George shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Kathleen (Kay). Together they built a family that meant everything to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen (Kay); his children, Julie (Jim), Jaclyn, and John (Jaclyn); his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Mallory, George John, Theodore, Delilah, and Vivienne; and his sister, Claudia. He was preceded in death by his parents, John George and Dorothy Eiswirth, and his sister, Darlene.
George will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081, on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, beginning with a gathering at 12:00 pm, until time of service at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home.
