Gerald Vincent Stockel

Gerald Vincent Stockel, age 86, died on September 30, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family. Gerald was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 18, 1936 to his parents, the late Donald and Leona (Pelletier) Stockel. He was the beloved and devoted husband of 53 years to the late Diane; dearest father of Douglas (Norma), Gregory, James (Rosa) and Daniel (Sarah); loving grandfather of Jeremiah, Joshua (Cheryl), Brittni (Scott), Mitchell fiancé (Jessica) and Natalie fiancé (Kirk) proud great grandfather of Benjamin and Cameron; dear brother of Ronald (Genevieve) Stockel, Nancy (Raymond) Antenucci and Denise (Peter) Kennedy and brother-in-law of Elaine Stockel. He is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Thomas Stockel and sister, Susan Quade. Gerald was a graduate of St. Rita High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Gerald retired from Chrysler. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and boating. Gerald was a kind, generous man who always had a joke to tell. A visitation for Gerald will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI 48081. Additional visitation will take place Wednesday, October 5, 2022 beginning at 10 am until the time of the Funeral Mass, 11 am at St. Hubert Catholic Church; 38775 Prentiss; Harrison Twp., MI 48045.
