Uncle Porky and his godson, Donald Brusseau. 

If we are friends on Facebook, you may have already seen the memories I shared below. I was asked to share them here as well:

Last Monday, May 3, I received a phone call with some very sad news. My Uncle Porky joined my Aunt Pat and many others in Heaven. His real name is Harold, but I never heard anyone call him that. I’ve only ever heard him called “Pork” or “Porky.” He won the fight against colon cancer for many years. Until it came back recently. He was always upbeat and didn’t want anyone to know what he was battling. I’ve known him my entire life. I have more pictures of him holding me as a baby than anyone else. He used to say I had little “chicken legs.” He took wonderful care of my Aunt Pat, even before they were married. He loved their dogs they had through the years. He  enjoyed his daily drive to the park with their German Shepherd Meghan. He lost their Bichon Frise Kaitlyn not too long ago, which saddened him greatly. He said it was like losing the last piece of Aunt Pat. Now they’re all a family again in Heaven. He loved to bowl. He was on a league with most of my family when I was growing up. Their team name was “Porky’s Piglets.” I’ll always remember the whole bowling alley stopping to watch him bowl for the Lucky Strike Ball pot, rarely missing. He had a few ‘300’ rings. I miss the trips up north with him and my Aunt, paddle boating and looking for frogs at the cottage. I miss meeting My Mom, Aunt Pat, and Uncle Porky for dinner at Prime Time. He always had a funny story to tell. He would always tell you “The bottom line is....” or “Like I said....”.  He never failed to call me “Honey” and tell me he loved me anytime I saw him or spoke to him on the phone. I’m grateful I talked to him a few times these past months  and that I was able to tell him I love him. He is greatly missed.  


What a day we all had visiting with family...who knew it would be the last documented good times we all would be together in one spot...but you’re all together again. 
I’ll add you to my sweet memories until we all come together again when our day comes that we all can celebrate again.

Uncle Pork, I fondly remember the question that I asked you several years ago as we sat talking, drinking, and listening to the sad old hillbilly tunes that we loved so much.  
I asked you "What makes you cry?" 
Of course it was a serious question I was asking, because you always talked about what a 'great & full life you had.  Your optimism was seriously contagious!! 
You responce to me was that of "missing our loved one's who'd passed"..... and now,  I can't help but to smile as I think of how you have now joined the majority of our loved ones and friends. As they say, "it must be a REAL PARTY up there," especially if your up there! 
We deeply appreciated you.
