Irene Kokuba

Irene Kokuba, age 96, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 17, 2025. She was born on March 1, 1929, to parents Michael and Anna Karolcik. Beloved wife for 65 years to the late Stanley Kokuba. Loving mother to Thomas (AnnMarie) Kokuba and Deborah (Kevin) Karapuz. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Kristen) Kokuba, Christopher Kokuba, Brian (Courtney) Karapuz, Brett Karapuz, and Blake (Jessie) Karapuz. Great-Grandmother to Hazel, Arlo, Cooper, Brady, and Kade. Irene was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers Thomas Karolcik and Michael Karolcik. Irene will be missed by all those who knew her.

Irene will lie in state on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm, until time of mass at 2:00 pm, at St. Isaac Jogues 21100 Madison Street, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.

Irene will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan next to her husband Stanley.
