Dad is a unique person. His humor and intellect could not be ignored in a room full of people! Anyone who spent any time with him knows this. Dad is a fun, witty man who is loving and generous with his family. This is a sad day. Everyone will miss you Dad.

Dad: "What's your name if we DON'T need anything?"
 
Dad pulling the wagon at Seaworld with 4 of his grandkids jumping in and out of it.
 
Diet Pepsi bottles balanced over a glass, t
o get every last drop. :) Classic!
 
The kids walking between him and the TV to get to the playroom. - Drove him crazy on MANY Thanksgivings!
 
HIS SEAT at the kitchen table - no one else EVER sat there. (...and probably won't for a long time)
 
His voice when he would call out to his bride: "DEAR??!!"
 
Silly words like, bu bu (butter), car-car (baby talk for car)...
 
When he held his grandaughter, Kristen for the very first time :)

Rest in Peace Dad - thanks for being my dad for 20 years and filling that spot that my own dad left vacant way too soon! Peace, love and hugs to your family as they try to envision life from this day forward. ?

Rest in peace Grandpa, I'm so grateful for the memories I have with you and will hold them close to my heart. You were an incredibly strong man and I love you!

My deepest sympathy to your family.  I remember Mr. Houvener as an Usher from church for so many years at Redeemer.  Many years of growing up and knowing your family.  God called home a great man.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting your dad, but I do have the pleasure of knowing the fine son he raised, and in you, Bob, he's left a priceless legacy.  All of my prayers are with you and Lanci, your mother and the rest of your family.

I am very sorry for the loss to the family.  The kids have some great memories that we all can share between pop bottles, t.v. shows, Boston creme pies and stimulating conversations that will always keep him close to their hearts.  Warm thought and prayers <3
