As Jane was the first" Lester" grandchild she was always special. When I was a preteen Jane would let me tag along with her and her friends. I thought I was pretty cool to hang out with older teenagers. Especially when they went to the old Hazen house on the corner- it was their hangout. Jane and Carl always invited Darrel and I to stay with them when we visited Detroit. They were so much fun!! Our whole family was always very close and we had SO many gatherings and good times. Will treasure the memories and pray she is at peace.  My love, Margaret

I have fond memories of visiting my Aunt Jane & Uncle Carl's house. My dad and I would usually visit on Sundays and would often be invited for dinner. Aunt Jane was a great cook. I remember having to eat at the kid's table.  I enjoyed visiting my cousins and playing with their dogs.  She had cocker spaniels and I think their names were Ginger and Nutmeg. We would visit at Christmas and it was fun to be there.  I'm sorry that I didn't get to visit her before she passed away.  She will always be in my heart. 

You will always hold a special place in my heart Grandma Jane! You had a special way of welcoming and you were so easy to talk to. When I attended any event, you were the person I looked for and sat by. Your comfort , love, and wisdom will never be forgotten. 

My Mother touched so many lives.  She was selfless.  Through her compassion, she brought hope to countless souls.  She  is a Saint.  I miss my Mother so very much, but I take solace in knowing she is no longer in pain, and that she is home.

My husband Gil and I were members of St Vincent DePaul Society at our church in Fraser. We had a district meeting at St Margaret’s and Jane was so welcoming to our group. She showed us around the church she loved. It was a great night. We worked together as well at Trustmark and would have conversations about St Vincent DePaul and the worked we did. Will miss our talks. Rest In Peace my friend.🙏

Jane was my daughter’s daycare provider back in 1983 to1986. To this day We have never forgotten how lucky we were to have had her in our lives. She was kind and loved our daughter as much as we did.  At that time she had a cocker spaniel that my daughter loved and gave her a love of dogs to this day. I would run into Jane at various stores over the years and we would talk and laugh. We are truly saddened to hear she passed and send our sincere condolences to the whole family. Your mother, grandmother and I see great grandmother was a lovely woman.

When I was younger my cousins,my sister  and i would go to the u.p. with Grandma and Emily .we would spend a few nights in Mackinaw city and the we would spend our day on Mackinaw island (so much fun!!) spending our day on Mackinaw island  we road bikes ,took a tour and took lots of pictures also we had fun getting ice cream .
After spending our day on Mackinaw  island  there was a really funny incident ( Emilys alarm clock went off and we thought there was the smoke detector) 
After spending a couple days in Mackinaw city  we headed to the u.p. and  stayed a couple days . went to Ghost Town , took lots of pictures , grabbed some Ice Cream and did a Spooky Tour .
every morning we got dressed and Emily did all of us girls hair and grandma helped cook breakfast. 
As a child growing up im so glad I spent time going on trips with Grandma ,that was my favorite part of my childhood . Im gonna Miss u so much Grandma  I love you so much !! Rest In Peace .   its not good bye its see you soon. <3   <3  <3 .

Jane was a dear, dear friend.  We worked together at Grosse Pointe Nursery School.  She was a big part of our GPNS "family".  She taught the 2 year olds with patience, love, and always a smile on her face.  Since Jane retired, we have met every "first Friday" for breakfast.  What a joy to have spent those many hours over breakfast.  I will miss her very much.


There are so many memories! Going to Jane's all through my life for family get together's and dinner. She was such a good cook! Of course blueberry picking and just being in Garden for all the different family adventures! I'm so glad I got to spend time with you the last few months. I will cherish that. I will miss you.
