Lois Janet Engel

Lois Janet Engel, age 88, passed away on August 23, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan to her dear parents Clifford and Wanda Semerau. Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Stanley Engel; loving children: Cynthia Klenner, Timothy (Kimberely) Engel; dear grandchildren: Lesley (Keith) Driest, Jakob Engel, Katherine (Jake) Carlyle; great-grandchildren: Ellie, Jay, Bailey, and 2 on the way; brothers: the late Richard (Nancy) Semerau and Robert (Nancy) Semerau. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family. In her early years she worked at the National Bank of Detroit and in her later years, she worked as the church secretary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Roseville and Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church in St. Clair Shores. Funeral Service, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
