Ortez, Manuel, born January 1, 1926 in the Dominican Republic, died January 13, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his loving wife Ingrid, brother Danilo Ortiz, sisters Shirley Trevino and Esaura Gonzales, children Glenn Ortez (Peggy), Pam Ortez, Norma Twyman (Roy), Michelle Aldrich (Mark), Jennifer Loridon (Brian) and Linda Mispelon (Brian), grandchildren Brandon and Justin Ortez, Mathew and Sean Coughlin (Ortez), Audrey Bressler (Jay), Ryan and Cory Aldrich, Sydney and Avery Twyman, Connor Loridon and Lauren and Andrew Mispelon, and great-grandchildren Lea Bressler and Mercedes Skawski. He was pre-deceased by his mother Angelica Ortiz and father Americo Ortiz and sister Matilda Alvarado.
Charitable donations in lieu of flowers may be addressed to the family.
Visitation will be in the Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores on Thursday January 17 from 4 - 9pm with a rosary at 7pm. The funeral service will be at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church on Friday January 18 at 10 am. He is being laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
