Mary Elizabeth Szymanski, age 68, passed away suddenly on December 27, 2024. She was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan on November 17, 1956 to her late parents Almer and Patricia Sears. Mary is survived by her beloved sons: Stephen (Taylor Gibson), Matthew, Christopher (John Dawson Jr.); grand dogs: Lenny, Katie; siblings: Al Sears, Joe Sears, Paul (Linda) Sears, Jim (Sandy) Sears, Suzie Darling, Bernie Whitson, Theresa (Tom) Jacob, Annie (Mario) Barraco, and Rita Vandenbossche. She is also survived by her companion and partner in crime: Mike Dockus and her 19 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She had a bond so strong with her siblings that even death will never break it.
Mary was well loved by all of her family and friends. She was a very devoted mom to her three boys and always looked after their needs. Mary was employed at Electro-Matic for 16 years as the production manager and just recently semi retired. She was well respected and well loved by all of her employees. They respected her leadership, her discipline and great sense of humor. Mary was an avid golfer and a charter member of St. Hubert Catholic Church. She loved going up north with her family, boating, shopping, going on day trips, knitting, baking and dancing.

Visitation, Monday, December 30, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. evening service at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. (Instate 10:00 a.m.) at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss St., Harrison Twp.
