I was very close to Mike in Germany.  We spent a lot of time together and went on a final trip to Switzerland together before I left.  I reached out and talked to him a while back and am utterly devastated that I wasn't able to see him.  We are sharing many pictures, and many include Mike.  To many that knew him, he had the best smile and grin and was the most fun to be around.  I can only imagine what it was like later.  I truly am missing a very good friend.

Mike and I were stationed together in Germany! A week ago we created a “Kelley Barracks Reunion “ web page to reconnect with our military brothers & sisters.  

I found out today after we were searching for Mike, if his passing. I along with all of our military brothers & sisters from Kelley Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany as well as any other places Mike served and made a better place. 

I truly hope this message is received and you understand you, your family and Mike will always be in our hearts!

I first met Mike when he was hired here at CSX Railroad. We spent a lot of time together at work and my family would occasionally visit at his house at the beach.  I remember once when he was a member of Gold's Gym, for a charity event, he bench pressed an extraordinary amount of weight (I don't recall exactly how much) like 25 reps, beating out Jaguars football players and police officers at all the Jacksonville gym locations combined.  He played full court basketball and was a sports trivia expert who loved to talk sports. 
He served his country honorably in the US Army and had lots of great stories.  He was a generous person who would do anything for someone in need.  One day we were working together and I mentioned that I was going to a benefit for one of my daughter's friends who had cancer.  Mike reached in his pocket and pulled out way more than most folks would have given to help someone he didn't even know.     

Mike knew how to make all his coworkers laugh every morning when he came in. He always put a smile my face. Since he moved, we kept in touch via FB. I was excited of all the things he said he had going on. As he would say, it was a blessing. Mike will be truly missed.

God Bless and keep the Kaiser family. My sincere condolences to you all.  Mike made me laugh, smile, brightened my dull days and was one of the funniest guys I've ever known... and laughter is needed sometimes in life.  Carry on my friend.  Your positive energy will be missed by me.

Mike will be missed by all his old co-workers in Jacksonville, FL. Mike was the kind of guy who would do anything for anybody.  I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike.
