Prayers of comfort  to the family and friends of Peggy Lewis from her Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network family.  

Peggy was a positive and pleasant person to work with at Detroit Wayne Mental Health. She was a hard worker and always gave 101% on any project she was responsible for or assisted with.  My most fondest memory of Peggy is when we worked in the "Your Choice Department"; a Program that we were responsible for in getting it off the ground with minimal resources and making it work for our Consumers of Services and the Agency.   I still laugh out loud when I think about how she helped me to build that department with old office furniture and made it look like professionals had came in to design the work areas. We worked hard Monday through Sunday most weeks, but with her sense of humor we looked forward to work and her making us laugh when we didn't think we could.  The last time I saw Peggy, we ran into each other out shopping, buying things for our grandchildren and happened to see each other once again. She was all smiles as usual as I called out "Peggy Sue"!, and she replied "Georgia Mae"!!!  Names we gave each other when we first met back in year 2002.

Peggy was really a joy to work with. She came to the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Agency following her work at the Wayne County Children's Center. She was always keeping our unit laughing, she once shared with us her "imaginary dog" Pepper and how he had got out (one morning) and made her late. Peggy also had dreams of creating her own children's book character "English Muffin" I helped her outline some of her ideas, I hope she had a chance to create it for her grandbaby. While I had not talked to Peggy in awhile, her charisma, energy and altruistic personality has lingered at our organization and she will be missed. Tara and Sawyer in particular you are her life, her joy and her love, she could never stop talking about either of you. My condolences and sympathy. Sincerely, Margaret Keyes-Howard

One of my favorite memories of Peggy was when we went shopping every Christmas at ToysRus to buy presents for Tara and Andrea. We would fill our carts and then start eliminating some things because we didn’t have enough money with us to buy everything! We had fun and it took us hours because it was such a big store with lots of aisles.

Peggy was a very dear friend always had a lot of fun when we were together she will always be in my heart rip 

We have :  Great, Terrific, Fun, & Fond, Loving memories of life on Lannoo. For 20 ++ yrs. we were family. Those times are etched on our hearts, where they shall remain.

To all who knew Peggy, we will feel the endless loss. She was a hard worker.  After  years  of going to work, she retired and spent time at home with her family,Loved going places with her daughter Tara  Soon she would become Mrs. F. Lewis. They spent time traveling, checking out garage sales, different places to dine and going to weddings and parties. Soon she gained another daughter. Tara married  Tammy Abby.  Hard work, Faith  and Hope. Soon after...They were going to have a baby.  That's when Peggy became Meme. She loves Sawyer  so much. I  feel that the quality time spent with Meme will live on and on in  her forever.   May the peace of the Lord be with you now and always.
