Rita Christine Shore, age 56, passed away on November 14, 2021. She was born on January 13, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan to her loving parents Frank and Roberta Skiba. Rita was preceded in death by her parents and husband Matthew Karl Shore. She is survived by her loving children Tyler, Bridget; stepchildren: Nick Churill, Kirsten Churill; step-grandchildren: Tyler, Abby, Nick, Landon, Hunter; and siblings: Mike Skiba and Becky (Gregg) Bieniek. Also left to cherish her memory are many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Rita was a hardworking mother, she was a hockey mom, involved in the Special Olympics, and was a member of many mothers of cancer survivors groups. She loved camping and was always happy and willing to help anyone with anything. Rita was everyone’s rock and a ray of sunshine in everyone’s day. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rita’s children. Visitation, Friday, November 19, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. Funeral mass, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (Instate 9:30 a.m.) at Old St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 646 Monroe St., Detroit.
