Ron grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School in Harper Woods. He went on to Michigan State University, where he earned two Bachelor’s degrees, one in Animal Science, the other in Packaging Engineering.
After a few years working in the Packaging field in New Jersey, Ron followed in his father’s and brother Bob’s footsteps to become a licensed electrician in Electrical Workers Local 58.
More than anything, Ron loved his daughters, Jordan Elizabeth-Eilene and Jillian Olivia-Shaylyn. He always referred to them as “my girls.” He dedicated his life to provide for them, guiding them to become kind, generous, thoughtful young women.
Ron had a good and giving heart. He welcomed anyone who needed a friend, along with any 4-legged furry pet. He fully enjoyed spending summers with his family on Stag Island, Canada, training his dog Mister to dive to the bottom of the lake and retrieve balls. He loved fishing, swimming, and boating.
Ron was predeceased by his parents, Bud and Nancy Stone, and is survived by daughters Jordan and Jillian, sisters Sally (Carl) Bulgarelli and Jan Schmerheim, and brother Robert (Pamela Taylor) Stone; nephews Jamie (Megan) Schmerheim, Todd Bulgarelli, and nieces Brianna (Kelly) Peterson, Megan (Tim) Mathis, Kelsey (Trevor) Huss, Shannon Stone, and Ashley Stone. He is also survived by aunt and uncle Joseph & Nancy Stone, and many cousins.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
