Scott was born in Clinton Township, Michigan to Annette and Patrick “Scott” Millington. Scott is survived by his brothers Ryan (Kristen) and Russell and was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Frank Buttigieg and Tom Millington, and grandmother Audrey Millington.
Scott was a beloved friend to many and truly had a gift of connecting people with one another. His interests varied from Detroit sports teams, wrestling, traveling, seeking out new adventures, the craft beer scene, and supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs. Photography was Scott’s specialty that instantly became his favorite hobby, outlet, passion, and source of communication.
Scott was a photographer who believed cameras are a passport to meet new people and document unique moments in life. He created the multimedia series called “Cameras and Coffee” that became a pillar of the Detroit community. In this series he would meet and interview a photographer at their choice coffee shop and then they would both explore the surrounding neighborhood, documenting their journey together. He also produced the series “Here is Their Story” where he would interview and take photos of everyday people doing what they love most in this world. Scott gave back to his community, finding purpose in his field of work as a volunteer manager and working to inspire others.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 at Meantime Brewery on 3409 Cass Ave, Detroit, Michigan from 3pm to close within the community he loved so much. An additional celebration of Scott’s life will be planned by family and details will be shared soon. Friends and family are welcome to attend to pay their respects and share memories of Scott.
