Sharon Lee LaForest, age 81, passed away on April 24, 2022. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 2, 1940 to her late parents Anton and Susie Reiss. Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Morton. She is survived by her loving children: Susan (Dwayne) Pieske, Ronald LaForest; grandchildren: Adrieana, Miranda, Cameron; great-grandchildren: Skyla, Cruz; brother: Howard Reiss; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was also preceded in death by her siblings: Christine, Andrew, Wilma, Tommy, Josephine, Danny, and Nancy. She was an advocate for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Sharon also enjoyed playing trouble, going to the casino, and going to the mall with her mall walker friends. Above all Sharon loved her family; she was very caring, nurturing, and was always looking out for her family and friends. Due to her caring nature and advocacy with St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the family would appreciate donations in Sharon’s honor. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores. A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
