Vera Jacoba Adams

Troy, MI – Vera Adams passed away peacefully on November 24, 2017 at her home in the presence of her family and dear husband Richard, at the age of 92.

Vera was born in The Netherlands on May 26, 1925 to parents Simon Petrus Onneweer and Wilhelmina Maria Anna Stolwijk. She survived the German occupation of The Netherlands during World War II, and came to America in 1950, where she met her husband Richard whom she married in 1954.

Vera was the loving Wife of husband Richard for 63 years, and dear Mother of Eric (Grace) Adams, Mary Jo (Mike) McGovern, and Victoria (Bob) Earnest. Vera was blessed with five grandchildren Eric Jr. (Aleah), Samuel (Andréa), Andrea, Brett and Olivia and two great-grandchildren dearest Hillary and Vincent. Vera is also survived by brothers Kees (Carolyn) Onneweer, Paul (Lily) Onneweer and sister Coby (Harry) Smit. Dear sister of the late Wim Onneweer (Fein), Bob Onneweer (Suez) and Pete (Dickie) Onneweer.

Visitation Monday 11/27/17 from 3-8pm with Rosary Service 7pm at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave, St Clair Shores. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11/28/17 at 10am with visitation beginning at 9:30am at St. Joan of Arc Church 22412 Overlake, St Clair Shores.
