It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Glenn passed away unexpectedly at home on May 29, 2014 beside his cherished wife and best friend of forty-three years, Marlene (Beaudoin). Beloved father of Lea Anne (Rob), Shannon (Jason) and Erin (Shawn) and proud "Pappy" to Riley, Aidan, Liam and Grace. Dear brother and brother-in-law to Wayne (Lillian), Donna, Neil (Debbie), Fred (Celeste), Brian (Lois) and Joanne (Nicky). Beloved uncle to Kim, Karen, Shawn, Kevin, Lauren, Randy, Shari, Jerry, Derek, Andrew, Carly, Nicholas, Michael and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Joining his mother Rita, father Kenneth and brother Barry, Glenn will be cheering for the Habs to bring home the cup next year! A man of quiet and yet resolute faith, he was a pillar of the Holy Family Parish in Two Mountains and an exemplar to those who aspired to live the beatitudes. A true man for others, Glenn loved and reaped many-fold what he sowed. An educator and principal for over four decades, he nurtured, inspired and challenged his students, staff and colleagues alike to live up to the potential he knew they possessed. Glenn was a passionate man for whom half measures did not exist. He was a fearless presence between the pipes for over forty years, playing in the Laval Teachers Hockey League, an Alouettes season ticket holder for sixteen years and lifelong Habs fan who never missed an opportunity to proudly wear the bleu-blanc-rouge. As a friend and a man, he was without equal; he would grip your hand like a vice, offer a listening ear, a warm smile and an open heart. He made your problems his and considered no request too inconsequential.
His greatest passion of course was his family and he was the rock on which it was built. He loved them all beyond words and took immense pride in their accomplishments and more importantly how they lived their lives. A greater son, husband, father, and grandfather simply did not exist.
