So many great memories.      Ray instilled in me the confidence to take on anything.   He taught me how to do something with nothing.    I take those values and use them in my everyday life.   No task is too big.    Thanks Ray………

Our condolences to the Mills Family. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I have no words for the loss I feel except that his family feels a loss even greater.  

To his 3 sons and their families you all know how much I loved him.  I will miss him dearly, he taught me so very much and for that I am grateful.  

To all the firefighters that he led and mentored you are better men for his guidance and direction.  He was a pillar for his family, his firefighters, and his community. 

Thank you for all you did, without question or regard for yourself, community and duty came first.  You have so much to be proud of, your sons are all good men, as are those that you led.

Ray, I hope you are having a much deserved rest and know that you will be in my thoughts always.

To Mills family, your dad was a very special person., always enjoyed his company he had many stories of Deux Montagnes, he was also a Member of the Heritage Social Club in which we enjoyed his time with friends that he made at the club. So sorry for your loss.  Norma Lariviere (Crifero)

My entire youth growing up on 7th Avenue, Ray loomed large on our street. He was caring and kind, and alway had time to talk to me as an inquisitive kid. I recall when I was about 10, running around town with my brand new walkie talkies. Suddenly I heard Ray's voice booming out through them, and I froze like I had been caught doing something wrong! There was the fire chief, sitting in his car and calling me on his CB radio. He then explained to me how it all worked. I was so impressed and thankful that he took time out of his busy schedule to teach me that day. Rest well, Chief.  You will always be a fond memory of my hometown. My deepest condolences to the entire family.

I grew up on Elm Street next door to the Mills Family and remember Ray as a young man in the Navy. Later on, through the years, we met at many Fire Department socials.
