Doreen Rosaline Quaglia

Doreen R. Quaglia of St. Helena passed away peacefully on February 7, 2012 with her family at her side. Doreen was born June 23, 1934 to Louis and Rose Bettini of St. Helena. Doreen graduated from St. Helena High School in 1952, was a homemaker, and worked at Keller’s Market, retiring in 1985.

Doreen was active in Sons of Italy for many years and a member of the Grappa Girls bocce team.

Doreen dedicated her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her a lifetime of joy and happiness. Doreen enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, quilting, bocce ball, family reunions on the coast, naps at the beach, and spending time with family and friends.

Doreen was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Rose Bettini, and in-laws Luigi and Irma Quaglia.

Doreen is survived by husband of 60 years Ray, children, Deb Mills (Tom) Cedar Rapids, IA., Jan Keene(Dennis) San Jose, CA, Cindy Quaglia (Trish) Sparks, NV., Mike Quaglia (Isabel) St. Helena, CA.; grandchildren, Karen Parodi (Steve), Andy Mills , Jeff Mills (Leslie), Kelly Keene, Danielle Garcia, John Mills, Dominic Quaglia, Aaron Quaglia and Mason Quaglia; great- grandchildren, Matteo , Dario and Paolo Parodi and caregiver, Vani Leakai.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Morrison’s Funeral home in St. Helena from 4-7pm. The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 11:00 am at the St. Helena Catholic Church followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in St. Helena.
