Louis Gilbert

Born March 29, 1922 in Graysonia, Arkansas. Died August 31, 2011 in Santa Rosa, California at the age of 89. Louis was a 64 year resident of St. Helena, California. Louis served in the Navy during World War II before coming to the Napa Valley to work for the State in Yountville until his retirement. Louis enjoyed traveling and fishing all over Northern California. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice, daughter Linda, granddaughter Cindy and great grandchildren Justin and Jordan. Also survived by family members: Irene, Josephine, Charles, Leta, nieces and nephews: Julia, James, Jack, Pam, Greg, Patricia, and Charles. Preceded in death by his only grandson Gary, brother Glan, Sister Lola and brother-in-laws Harold and Parker. At his request no services will be held.
