He is preceded in death by his grand-mother Edith, grand-father Harry, mother Mary and aunts who he was very close with growing up.
Gordon is survived and will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 68 years Barbara, daughter Debbie, son Donald (Philippa), his grandchildren; Mark (Sandrine), Mary (Marco), Stewart and Frank and his great grandchildren Maïka, Mathéo, Noah and Giovanni and many other relatives and friends.
Gordon spent many years working in sales for Avery Dennison in the city of Montreal but his passion lied with helping others. He was a longtime Board member at Pavilion Foster, Beaver where he helped many people within the AA Recovery community and dedicated much of his free time to help people make changes for the better.
He shared his knowledge of business with his children which led them all to have amazing careers of their own. Gordon was a compassionate man who loved the game of golf and played for many years with colleagues and friends in Rouses Point. He shared this love for the sport with his grandson Mark which created an unwavering bond between them. He loved to make his family laugh telling the same “Gordie jokes” over and over that we will remember forever. He enjoyed the nights he babysat his grandsons Stewart and Frank when he was not falling asleep on the sofa. He enjoyed spending Sundays with his family for dinner at home.
Gordon will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services will be held Thursday February 6th from 4pm to 7pm at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Homes, Dignity Memorial, (307 Rue Riverside, Saint-Lambert, QC, J4P 1A7).
