With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alfred Wood, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, devoted husband, and a proud sailor. Alfred Wood set sail on his final journey on February 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends and the sea.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Carol Wood and his 5 children, Robbie Wood, Amanda Wood, Leanne Wood, David Wood and Ian Wood. Though his ship has sailed beyond our horizon, his spirit remains in every wave that kisses the shore and every star that lights the night sky.
A memorial service will be held on February 16, 2025 at Collins Clarke MacGillivray, 307 Riverside, St. Lambert at 11:15am, where friends and family can join us. A reception will be held following the service at The Royal Canadian Legion, 205 rue Empire, Greenfield Park, to celebrate his life and share cherished memories.
