Born in East Florenceville, New Brunswick, proud graduate of the Montreal General Hospital School of nursing.
Served in the RCAF for 5 years as a nursing sister (Captain), Employed at the Taber Health Unit in Home Care for 15 years, Retired after 41 years in the nursing profession.
Doris was a dedicated volunteer to the community by involvement in Horticulture Club, Hospital Auxillary, AARN, Knox United Church, Retlaw Historical Society, Taber Museum and retired RN Club.
Predeceased by Husband Lloyd Higgins, Sister Bette, Joan and Brother LeRoy. Survived by Sister Dianne (Russell), Brother Robert and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation with graveside burial, Taber, AB at a later date.
