Heather Harris Valentine

Heather June Harris Valentine, age 80, passed away in hospital, surrounded by her husband and two sons. Following a courageous battle with bone cancer (multiple myeloma). Born in Montreal / Westmount to Van and Helen Harris, she leaves a lasting legacy for her husband Bob Valentine, and her two sons, Rick and Tim. She is also survived by her 11 grand children Ben, Sam, Josh, Tim, Ken, Lily, Kyle, Josiah, Rosie, Robin and Gabe. Her brother Derek Harris cherishes the memories they shared in both joyful and challenging times.

Heather graduated from Bio-chemistry at McGill and used her training for several years before she married Bob Valentine and then became a full time mom to her two boys. Heather shared a love for the water and countryside spending most of her growing up summers on Lake Memphremagog and her later years with her husband and sons in Sutton and their weekend cottage.

Throughout her life, Heather expressed an unwavering dedication to her family and those that God had placed around her, deeply guided by her unwavering faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. She was a mother and mentor to many in her years with Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship and continued all through life deeply touching those around her with wisdom, counselling and prayer. She influenced countless lives, and we will all cherish and hold on to the deep affection she had for all of us.
