Im sorry Edna of the passing of Compare Robert. Id wouldve payed my respects if I knew. I spoke to him in July and I knew by his voice something was wrong. Wanted to hang up quickly. I called your number and it was disconnected. Im sad I wasnt informed. I googled to find out the info....

I was in the process of calling you as I did every week since I knew about it, and we were unfortunate to hear this terrible news. We were so blessed to have you as a friend. How can we forget your generosity and kindness and great heart.
Edna for you, sorry for your loss. We are thinking of you and wishing you resignation and patience in moving forward—our deepest sympathy. We planned to travel tomorrow but the time and arrangements are not in our favour. Our condolences to all the family.  Robert for sure I will miss our chess games but now Rest In Peace.

Very sad to hear this news, but only have fond memories of our old neighbours Robert and Edna. Even though it's been years since we've seen you, I still remember you often and mention to friends and current neighbours how blessed we were to have such caring next door neighbours as you two growing up. Robert was always kind, soft spoken and generous, offering my brothers and I Expos tickets or a dip in their pool whenever we liked. I never heard him get angry or upset at us no matter how loud we were or how many times we jumped the fence to get our ball. You will live on in our cherished memories and hope you rest in peace. Edna, we are thinking of you and wishing you patience in these sad days and good health moving forward.

I remember the funniest laugh coming from Robbie when Frank and I went to Nfld for Martin's wedding and Uncle Jim pulled out a cup out of his cabinet to show us..It was a cup with a set of lips that were attached .It was a mustache cup. Well Robbie could not contain himself. The cup was odd looking and funny.lol the cup was made to hold their mustaches up when drinking their tea. In those years the English used them. Anyway it was hilarious.  I will never forget you Robbie.

Our sweet sweet neighbour! What a pleasure it was to grow up living next to you. Always there whenever we needed anything, whether it was eggs, a lawnmower, or a friend. Thank you for all the memories. We will miss you so much and will think of you often. Rest peacefully Bob.
