Thomas Desmond Wells

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Desmond Wells on Sunday, January 31st, 2021. Born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario and spent the majority of his life in Montreal. He leaves behind his beloved wife Alice, his children Anne Hebert (Jean-Pierre, recently deceased), Nancy Jones, Shirley Hennessy (Bernard) and Heather Jones (Chris). Fondly remembered by his nine grandchildren Nathalie (Jonathan), Valerie (Stephane), Alicia (Jay), Lise (Brendan), Jeff (Vicky), Leah (Adam), Tom (Ciara) Eric and Rachelle. Also seven great grandchildren, Nellie-Anne, Noah, Maya, Mateo, Lexi, Selah and Miles.

He answered to many names, Des, Pops, Poppy and the Duke!

He worked as a long-term public servant within the department of National Defence for 30+ years. He was loved by many and will be missed immensely.

At this time, we are not planning a funeral, but hope to have a “celebration of life” in the near future.
