Bill was a Skelly. What that means is whenever there was something to do in Tri-Par, Bill was there running the show along with his brother Don. The Skelley's  could always be relied upon to make whatever it was, as enjoyable as possible. There are few who took on the responsibilities that Bill did. He did it often and he did it right. He was a friend and responsible  for some of my most cherished memories of Tri-Par.

My deepest condolences to you Julie and Diana and all your family. Your father was a kind, considerate and caring man. He loved his Florida home and was generous in sharing it.  May his spirit and your wonderful memories bring you some consolation during this sad time.

Fifty eight years ago, while walking to elementary school, I met Bill's daughter, Diana, who was also walking to the same school as me.  We discovered that we both lived a few minutes from each other and from that day forward, Diana became my very best friend.  It is through Diana that I got to meet her wonderful father, Bill.  
There are so many special moments that I have had with Bill and his family that I will always treasure and remember for the rest of my life.  He made the fastest melting, most delicious, peanut butter toast!  I remember South Mountain like it was yesterday and how can I forget the times Bill and Pat brought me on vacations with Diana and Julie to Otter Lake.  I can still picture those lovely cabins and the great moments we had swimming in the lake.  I even got to ride in an airplane for the first time even if it was just for a very short distance from Montreal to Ottawa.  Bill drove to Ottawa to pick up Pat, Julie, Diana and myself at the airport before continuing to drive all of us to Otter Lake.  Those were some of the best times during my childhood days.
I remember the days that Bill and Pat took me, Diana and Julie to the drive-in-movies and they always brought homemade popcorn for us to eat while watching the movie.  Bill once surprised Diana and me with a hand delivered pizza while we were babysitting at my house. He got me a summer job, two years in a row, at Westeel Rosco Ltd.  It is here, at this company where Bill worked, that I got to meet and marry the love of my life, Larry.  Together we have three beautiful grown children and four precious grandchildren.  
 I am so thankful and blessed to have known Bill for all these years.  He taught me great things about life and I will always consider him like my second father.  He will always have a special place close to my heart and the love that he had for his family and his great smile will remain with me forever.   Rest in peace Bill and watch over your family from above.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was such a lovely man. He was always so fun and joyful. I have fond memories in my younger years when we all went camping and most recently in my trips to Florida

I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss.  Bill was such a nice man and it was always so nice seeing him in Sarasota.  He will be missed. 

Although we mourn the loss of a great friend , we share in the celebration of his life and accomplishments. Bill was one of the "go-to" guys when we wanted something to happen in Tri-Par. His organization skills were excellent and everyone looked up to him as the project leader. There are not many of the old school people left that just automatically take on those responsibilities. Rest easy Bill, you've certainly earned it.


Dear Skelly family and friends, our deepest condolences  at the loss of your exceptionally kind  dad,  grandfather, great grandfather and father in law.  In the years following meeting Diana for the first time (just after the birth of beautiful Stephanie)… I remember once having the privilege to watch Bill and Pat square dance. It was very evident the love between them. They set a good example for a lot of us. Happy to have spent some Fridays with Diana, Julie,  Bill and his McDonald’s friends prior to the pandemic at their regular meeting place. My fondest memory of Bill besides his great sense of humour was  when he very kindly took my grandson Noah out in his stroller so that I could be freed up to join his girls in a line dancing class. It meant a lot to me, a memory I will cherish forever.  Bill, May God bless you and Pat as you spend eternity together. Rest In Peace.Lots of love Marilyn, Eric and the Durocher gang.

Julie and Diana, 

I am so sorry for your loss. Although I hadn’t seen your dad in several years I have fond childhood memories of him with the square dancing crowd.

Julie, Diana and family, our condolences and support are winging to you all from Australia! Some of my earliest childhood  memories included Aunt Mildred and Uncle Jim, Pat and Bill, and you two girls as youngsters. It was some years before I understood you were 'family' of the heart, not biological family. In our early Otter Lake days, I spent a lot of time underwater on Bill's back, and I can still hear Pat's voice and laughter. Then in my floundering early university days, Pat and Bill took me in, for emotional support, good food and times, and sometimes even a room to lock myself away and cram! So I'm grateful to have had him, and all of you in my life and memories. 
Anne and I send you our very best wishes and hope that you can wrap your loving memories around you while you farewell Bill.

Julie and Diana,
For as long as I can remember,  our families have been closely connected.  Bill and Pat were an important presence in our lives at family gatherings, at the lake and later in Florida.  With the passing of that generation,  it seems the end of an era.
I am in Alberta so won't be attending the memorial but know that my thoughts are with you.

I am named after my Uncle Bill. I could not be more proud. I have loving memories of him in our early years in Montreal, at his parents house in Smith Falls and at Otter Lake. I hope I can be half the man he was. I loved him dearly. He was a great uncle and role model to me.
