Alois J. Zinselmeier Sr.

Alois J. Zinselmeier, Sr. passed away on May 7, 2014 at the age of 91 years and 11 months. He was born June 9, 1922 in St. Louis, MO to his parents Joseph and Mary Zinselmeier. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise (Shoults) Zinselmeier of 11 years, Dorotha Gebhardt of 28 years and Laura Davis of 21 years, his son Alois J. Zinselmeier, Jr., step-son Clarence Gebhardt and four brothers Joseph, George, Oscar and Roy Zinselmeier. He is survived by his daughters Mary (Willard) Sitze and Judith Zinselmeier; step-son Kenneth J. Gebhardt; and daughter-in-law Carole Zinselmeier. Cherished grandfather, step-grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.

Alois worked at Monsanto Chemical Company for 33 years and was a member of the Arnold Elks Club. He loved to be around people and Bar-B-Que. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the ball game and he could build or make almost anything. He was happy when everyone else was happy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 11:30 AM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel; 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125. Visitation from 9 AM till the time of service. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
