George Robert Boothe III, known by most as Bob Boothe, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 10, 2016. He is survived by his wife Patricia Boothe, nee McDougall. Bob lived for 65 years but packed 100 years of life into that time. He was a salesman, business owner, traveler and avid golfer, playing as many rounds a week as he could for as long as he could wherever he could. Bob loved taking weeks long golf vacations playing at courses around the country with a group of friends and business associates. They didn’t just play a round here and there, but played at least two rounds every day. Bob retired 10 years ago after being owner of Boothe Mold Company of Dupo, Ill. He loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Bob was born December 9, 1950, in Newbern, North Carolina, a son of George Robert II and Audrey M. Boothe, nee Topham. He is survived by a daughter Heather Thiele, step-son Jeff Nowak, grandchildren Shay, Megan, Mathew and Sophia; and a sister Norma Genorean. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Donnna Hill and a brother Bill Boothe.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, June 17, 2016, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63125. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of service.
