Carolyn Ann Fernandez passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 75. She was the beloved wife of the late Durand "Randy" L. Fernandez, dearest sister of Pat Virgen, Marti (Mike) Rutherfurd, Dan Potts, Rick (Kari) Potts and Barb (Ted) Juen. She was the Cherished Sister-In-Law of Larry Fernandez and a dear aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.
Carolyn enjoyed a special relationship with her husband whom she met at a swing dancing club and they enjoyed many years of dancing together. She greatly enjoyed gathering and traveling with the St. Ann Senior Group. She had a tremendous love for animals, especially her dog, Sandy. She was also a huge lover of horses, having owned and rode them for many years. She had a strong faith and in the end she expressed that she was ready to go home to Jesus.
A visitation will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 8860 Tudor Avenue, Overland, Missouri on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 10 am to 11 am. Immediately following the visitation, a Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Inurnment will be private at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, contributions to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Ave, St. Louis, MO, 63110, the Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue and Sanctuary, 1025 Heritage Road, Linn Creek, MO, 65052, or the American Cancer Society, will be most appreciated.
