Charles James Robinson

ROBINSON Charles J. Sr., 86 of Roswell GA and formerly of St. Louis, MO, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on December 30, 2104. Beloved husband of Elisabeth (nee Niederreiter) and the late Helen L. (nee Vaughn) Robinson; loving father of Joan (Steve Goodrich) Williams, Sheryl (Thomas) Reed, Michael Robinson and the late Charles (Donna) Robinson Jr.; dear step-father of Pam Majors and Debbie (Craig) Wagner; loving brother of Jo (the late Lawrence) Findley, Sylvia (Edward) Sullivan and the late Daniel Robinson; beloved grandpa Angela(John) Hime, Erin Williams, John (Sarah McKinney) Reed, Mark Williams, Emily (Jamey) Reed, Charles (Missy) Robinson III, Katherine Robinson and Christopher Robinson; dear step-grandfather of Elizabeth (Steve) Hayes, Allyson (Gardner) Barganier, Ashley (Charlie)Vaughn and Heather Gutkin; cherished great grandpa of Jack and Ellie Hime and Jeff and April Robinson; dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Charlie was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He was a proud member of Carpenters Local #47 and a past president of the Carpenters Retirees Club 21. He was a superintendent with Fruin-Colnon Corporation.

After moving to Roswell, GA in 1997 Charlie became very active in the Knights of Columbus, an organization he belonged to for almost 60 years. While in Roswell he and Elisabeth were active members in St. Andrew Catholic Church and particularly enjoyed the Over 55 group. He traveled the world and was an avid gardener. In the last number of years he spent a good amount of time working on his genealogy.

Memorial Visitation 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2015, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., Lemay MO. Private interment.
