I wrote this after coming home from David's funeral. . . .
I went to the funeral today of a wonderful man whose loss leaves a gaping hole in the wellness psyche of the earth. If one takes a thesaurus & looks up every good adjective in it, words would still be lacking to describe the goodness & inherent humanity that was my friend David Sterneck. Some 500 people attended his funeral today, at CRC & I daresay that every single one there counted him a friend. David's was a death that truly leaves one shaking their head & wondering why. He was healthy, fit, in shape, exercised daily, ate right, didn't smoke, helped others, loved many & was loved by just as many. Was Death so jealous? He will truly be missed by multitudes.

Joy,  My sympathies to you and your family.  I was shocked to see the obit in today's paper.  I very much enjoyed the time I worked with Dave At DCNHS.  He was a terrific colleague. We had some great trips together.  I remember one in particular where a meeting in Chicage ended early and we were able to take in a Cubs/Cardinals game before our flight home.

Joy & Family - Any words I can write or say are inadequate to express the sorrow I feel & the sympathy I send to all of you at this time of tremendous loss.  David was simply a wonderful person & his memory & smiles will live on in a multitude of people.

So sorry for your loss. I remember vividly the day some 47 years ago when David gave me the Sr. Lifesaving exam in Carl Bianco's pool so I could get a summer job at Lodge of the 4 Seasons.
