

Dolly was born Esther Ann Pont in West Blocton, Alabama to Edward Pont and Sadie (Kaler). Her parents immigrated from Kobryn, which today is Belarus. Dolly was the fifth of their seven children. The family moved to Miami Florida shortly thereafter where she grew up.
She married David Horn in April 1948 and she and Dave moved to St. Louis where they had three boys: Barry E. Horn (Jan Devine), Richard A. Horn (Hope Miller), and Ronald I. Horn (Cathy Page). She is survived by her sons and seven grandchildren: Dr. Elizabeth Prisc (Adnan Prisc), Anne Syracuse (Roger Syracuse), Matthew Horn (Caitlin Richter), Sarah Horn, Samuel Horn, Courtney Warner (Fred Warner), Ryan Horn, in addition to three great grandchildren: Hana Prisc, Eliette Horn, and Samir Prisc.
Dolly was aunt to Steven Horn, Judy Hirsch (James Hirsch). Betty and Jerry Johnson (deceased), Edwin Pont (Michael Broadmeadow), Lyn Pont (Bernie Stein) Jon Pont (Lynn), Sharlene Pont and Gary Pont (Mirta).
Dolly devoted her life to her family, her adopted love of baseball and the St. Louis Cardinals, and her career in fashion retail. Her grandchildren will remember her for her great love and loyalty, and her consistent advice. After her husband Dave passed in 1994, Dolly led the family with pride and strength. She will always be our North Star.
Graveside service Sunday, February 13, 2022, 10:30 AM at New Mt. Sinai Cemetery, 8430 Gravois. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to the National Council of Jewish Women of St. Louis (www.ncjwstl.org) or a charity of your choice.
