Edward Raymond Lanser

Lanser, Edward R. on December 5, 2015. Dear husband of Martha Lanser (nee Withington); dear father of Dale Edward (Darlene), Donald (Lynda) and James (Amy) Lanser; dear grandfather of Yvonne, Denise Adele, Jennifer, Danielle Marie, Evan, Emily, and Erick; dear great grandfather of William, Colton, Benjamin, John Thomas and Liliana Adele; dear brother of the late Arleen Nobby; our dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Lanser graduated from Roosevelt High School (St. Louis) in 1952 and received from Washington University a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and MBA. He was a member of the St. Louis Rotary Club, St. Louis Fly and Bait Casting Club and past President of the ACA. He is an ACA Hall of Fame member and holds records as a National and World Champion Fly and Bait Caster. He served as Chairman and Recertification Chairman of the American Society of Quality. Ed worked at the St. Louis Testing Laboratories which oversaw quality control and the structural integrity of the St. Louis Gateway Arch during its construction. He retired as executive director of the Lighthouse for the Blind.

Service at Kriegshauser West Mortuary, 9450 Olive Blvd, Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment Sunset Cemetery (Affton). Visitation 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday. Memorials to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
