

Elmer was born on November 3, 1944 and was a son of the late Elmer John Corless, Sr. and Bessie A. Corless, who have preceded him in death.
Elmer was the youngest of 9 children who have also preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Anne Corless and Tina (Corless) Carr; four grandchildren,Timothy Carr, Matthew Carr, Andrew Carr, and Jonathan Carr; and several nieces and nephews.
Elmer graduated from Cleveland High School in 1962. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1968. He attended the Air Force Academy in Colorado and later attended Meramec Junior College.
Elmer spent his entire career as a very talented computer programmer and supervisor in Information Technology.
In his retirement, he worked as a courier for Absolute Delivery Services for several years.
Elmer was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and belonged to the Men's Club at his church.
In his spare time he enjoyed developing software on his many computer systems. He also adopted and fostered many pet dogs in need. Elmer was a huge St. Louis Blues fan.
Elmer will be donating his body to science.
Memorial Service for Elmer will be held on Sunday, November 12th at 6:00 pm at the Trophy Room, 5099 Arsenal Street; St. Louis, MO 63139. Military Honors will begin at 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
