Floryne Beverly Marks

Born January 3, 1936, and passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Murry Aaron Marks, mother of Jason (Lauri) Marks and Jonathan (Melanie) Marks, grandmother of Sara Marks, Madison Marks and Mason Marks, step-grandmother of Hannah Cearley, Elizabeth Cearley, and Alyssa Cearley. Daughter of the late Samuel Silverstein and the late Gussie Silverstein, sister of the late Aronetta (Morris) Persky and Ethel Rose Silverstein.

Artistic and athletic, stylish and headstrong for ninety years, Floryne had an early career as an interior decorator, but found her greatest pleasure in her family, devoting herself to raising Jason and Jonathan and to sharing 59 years with Murry, the love of her life. Endearing, beautiful and kind, Floryne left indelible memories through the many people she encountered, whether brief acquaintances or loved ones. Floryne derived great joy watching her grandchildren grow to become such wonderful adults.

Services: Funeral service to be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. at United Hebrew, followed by a private burial at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery and a shiva from 5:00 to 8:00 at Meadowbrook Country Club. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center, United Hebrew, or a charity of your choice.
