Gary T. Sacks was born in Hartford, CT to Max and Clara Sacks and spent most of his childhood years in St. Louis, graduating from Ladue High School and the University of Missouri-Columbia, then Washington University School of Law in 1966. He spent his entire 40-year career with Goldstein and Price practicing maritime law.
Nothing made Gary prouder than his family, and he and Margie, his wife of 39 years, enjoyed traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren all over the world. Gary and Margie loved the life they made, especially talking and learning together about anything and everything. Throughout his life, Gary connected deeply with people and stayed actively and consistently involved with grade school friends, football teammates, tennis and poker companions, and, above all, family.
Gary was the beloved husband of Margie Tureen Sacks; father of Carol Sacks, Saralyn Sacks (Michael Klearman), and Lawrence Sacks (Lucila Del Aguila); stepfather of Julie Fischer (Eliza Rubenstein), Carrie Beard (Adam), and Danny Fischer (Irene Segoviano); grandfather of Max and Keller Goldstein, Andrew, Caroline, and William Klearman, Ximena and Alexander Sacks, Elizabeth and Anna Beard, and Samuel, Joshua, and Elena Fischer; brother of Sue Ellen Sacks (Kelly Sinnock); brother-in-law of Lesley Springer (Bart) and Janis Abrams (Bob); former husband of Barbara Sacks; and uncle, cousin, and friend to uncountable others.
