Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Merlenbach) Kawelaske; loving father of Steve (Mary Kay) Kawelaske, Susan (Pat) Schalk, and Sandra (the late Stephen) Paine; dear grandfather of Curtis (Holly) Ketchum, Cory (Kim) Ketchum, Eric Ketchum, Bradley Kawelaske, Ryan (Courtney) Kawelaske, Phillip Paine, and Taylor Paine; great grandfather of Harper, Hazel, Nala, Harley, Cora, August, and Cal; dear brother of the late Betty (the late Arvil "Cutty") Cutsinger, Shirley (Joseph) Weiss, and Robert Kawelaske; dear son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth (nee Kleine) Kawelaske; our dear cousin, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many.
SERVICES: Visitation 10am until time of service at 11:30am Tuesday, February 20, 2024, Hoffmeister South County Chapel 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
