Jim leaves behind his sons Don (fiancée Lauren Angeli) and Jamie Brand, as well as his grandchildren Caden, Abby, Lilly, Caroline and Emma Brand.
Jim had a very giving nature and would arrive bright and early most mornings at the main Mid-town Goodwill – so much so that he had his own parking space there for his pickup. He’d peruse the aisles, snagging up and paying by the pound for items he imagined any of his family members or many friends may find useful. Rare was the visit from Grandpa where he wasn’t carrying a bag full of those Goodwill treasures for the grandkids. Jim was happiest helping others and wouldn’t say no to running errands for friends or chauffeuring them around. He was a wonderful and giving friend, and he will be missed by so many.
Funeral service at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis, MO 63125 on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 12:30PM, with visitation prior beginning at 9:00AM. Burial with full military honors to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan, St. Louis, MO 63125.
