JoAnn Evelyn Olliges

Asleep with my heavenly family on 07/17/15 in her 79th year. Beloved wife of William A Olliges Sr. for 61 years. Dearest mother of Terese Powell, Bill Jr. (Bernadette), Sharon Gillman (Skip), and Laura Boxdorfer (late Bill Box). Loving sister of Jackie Schulte (late Ben) and the late Michael Kraiser USN '42, sister-in-law of Bob Olliges (Gerri) (and the late MaryJane), Janet Olliges (late Dale). Beloved daughter of the late Joseph Feigenbutz and Jacqueline Corrine Reehten. Beloved grandma of Rachel Gettemeier (Brian), Jennifer Rooks (Jason), Andrea Griffin (Ryan) and Erica Olliges, Beth Ashby (Troy), Stephanie Kesterson (Nate) and Mike Powell Jr., Bill Boxdorfer II, Neil Boxdorfer, and Jessica Boxdorfer. Happy great-grandmother of Allyson, Owen, Audrey, Grace, Claire, Reese, Duke, Ryland, Will, Bennett, Keaton, Jonas, Eli, Scout and the late Zoey. Special cousin to the late Patricia Power and oldest and dearest friend of Kay and Ron Scherr. Great-Aunt, Great-Great Aunt and friend to many.

JoAnn graduated from St. Boniface grade school in 1950 and from Notre Dame High School in 1954. She married Bill Olliges on September 25, 1954 and began her life as a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing volleyball early in her marriage, family vacations camping at Sam A. Baker State Park, as well as going to the Muny, St. Louis Symphony and Cardinal baseball games. Her favorite pass-times were reading books by various authors as well as watching cooking shows on TV and cooking. She spent many years vacationing in Florida at the Estero Island Beach Resort in Fort Meyers, Fla., and enjoyed multiple visits to her favorite food town of New Orleans. She loved her many pet dogs past and present.
