John Fredrick Grunz

Beloved son of the late Catherine (née Kelly) and Donald G. Grunz; loving brother of Margaret (David) Blakelock of Boston, MA and Dr. D. Joseph (Jianhui Hu) Grunz of University City, MO; dear uncle of Catherine (Nathan) Blakelock of Jacksonville, FL, Alexandra Blakelock of Washington, D.C. and Emily Grunz of University City, MO.

John loved his many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. He thrived as part of a large and loving family. John worked at Lafayette Industries for over 34 years. He loved cats, watching old movies, particularly comedies, and TV shows from the 1960’s and 1970’s, and enjoying time with his friends at Glan Tai, a group home for adult men with intellectual disabilities. John will be remembered for his good cheer and positive outlook on life.

Services: A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the spring when it will be safe to gather.
