Kent D. Lischer, 59, of St. Peters, MO died suddenly on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 after recent cardiac procedures. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Gillian (nee Bosley) Lischer; his wife of 31 years, Patricia (nee Turner) Lischer; daughter, Stephanie Kitsmiller (survived by Rob); sisters in law, Teresa Andres and Lynda Weber; brothers in law, John and Darrell Turner; and niece, Danielle Dohrman.
Left to honor his memory are his children, Ashley Moore of St. Peters, MO and Miles (Natalie) Lischer of Neosho, MO; grandchildren, Audrey, Amelia, Cayleigh, Cayden, and Mason; sister in law, Nancy (Brian) Holdener; sweetheart, Janis Hopkins; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, including his friend and co-worker of 25 years, Alex Buehner.
Kent was a 1980 graduate of Lindbergh High School and then received his Bachelor of Science from St. Louis University/Parks College of Engineering, Aviation, and Technology. While attending college, he met his adored wife, Pat and began his family. Pat had two very young daughters and Kent raised them as his own. His son would be the final addition to the Lischer family a few years later.
Kent worked hard to support his family at various jobs and would eventually start his own business as the director/owner of Aircraft Maintenance Specialties, Inc. at Creve Coeur Airport. He was a highly regarded business man and was just someone that everyone liked.
He was a kind and caring man (though stubborn as a mule!) who loved classic rock and roll and going out for live music. He was passionate about airplanes and all things space related and had a great sense of adventure. Kent was an incredibly generous person who truly cared for the people he loved. His warm smile and kind heart will be missed but never forgotten!
After formal services and he is laid to rest in St. Peters on Monday, November 29th, there will be a celebration of Kent’s life at Kriegshauser West Mortuary in Creve Coeur with an informal gathering from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. At 7 p.m. friends and family will be asked to share great memories of Kent. Kent would love for you to be there!
Memorials are appreciated to Pilots N Paws Pet Rescue Services and on-line condolences are also appreciated.
