Madeline Frances Hobson, age 76, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Madeline was born November 10, 1946 to the late Wilbur and Kathleen (nee Guehne) Hobson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hobson, a sister, Linda Hobson, and a nephew, Patrick Hobson.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her sister-in-law, Diana Hobson, an uncle, Will (Lois) Guehne, and god-daughter, Amanda (Chris) Neighbors along with her children, Jack, Sam, and Luke. Madeline was an aunt, a niece, and a beloved friend to all. Friendships that Madeline treasured.
Madeline spent time visiting the St. Louis Botanical Gardens, the art museums, the Muny and the Fox Theater. She was a huge advocate to all animals and supported many charitable organizations. In her younger years she took many trip to New York City and Atlanta, Georgia. She once traveled to California just to watch the Rose Bowl Parade. It was a trip that she cherished. Madeline was known for having a sweet tooth. Every time a family member came to visit, they would make a detour just to pick her up a strawberry shake, which indeed was her favorite.
Madeline will be laid to rest at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Missouri 63125.
