Peg loved the ocean and found peace there. She and her late husband Richie would hold hands and sit to smell the salty air and listen to the waves. She would say it was a wonderful place to reflect on all that God had given her. Peg was not a fan of Missouri – much too cold for her, but she knew it was important to be close to family, and so she moved. It was not easy, but, over time she began to find her place here. She loved to play cards, although she often said she never won! She loved Pancake Wednesdays with her sweet friends from church and was not shy about eating the whole short stack! She loved her Widows group, their delicious lunches, and deepening friendships. She loved to keep up her strength by working out at the gym; walking her laps, lifting a few weights, and visiting with friends. She loved to welcome people into her church on Sunday mornings with a big smile and a word of encouragement. She would light up a room!
Her true joy was her family- Oh how she loved her kids, the Grands and Great Grands. She was their Grandma, their GiGi, and was always ready to tell anyone all about them and how proud she was of who they were. She cheered them on in their relationships, their work careers, their activities, their sports, their talents, their adventures, and as each baby was born and their families grew! She found something unique to love within each one of them.
Peg had her own mind and often spoke it. She knew what she wanted and needed; the sign that hung on her door said “Love Never Fails” - that was Peg.
Peg will be greatly missed by her family, her friends, and her church. It seems there is never enough time to spend with the ones we love, yet, oh what a glorious day it will be when we meet again in heaven!
