Mary Kelly Dragues

DRAGUES, Mary Catherine (nee Kelly), 89, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on April 11, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Robert Dragues; loving mother of Catherine (David) Blodgett and Daniel (Diane Schilling) Dragues; dear grandmother of Matthew (Maria) Kramer, Aimee Blodgett, Bryan (Melissa) Dragues, Kelly (Will) Link, Andrew Dragues, and Allison Dragues; great grandmother of Charlie, Grace, and Victoria Kramer, David Higginbotham, Daniel Dragues, and August and Ellery Link; dear sister of the late James Kelly; dear cousin, aunt, and friend to many.

Mary was a graduate of Rosati Kain High School and of Fontbonne University

Mom, you lived your life with wisdom, strength, grace, and love. Thank you for being with us for better or worse. We were so blessed to have you as our mom. We will love you forever. Know that you’re beautiful loving spirit will be with us always. Rest in peace knowing how much you mean to us.

A message from Danny:

Mary lost our Dad at an early age and had to immediately step up from a stay at home Mom to a bread winner and single parent overnight. Mom passed on all of her new responsibilities with flying colors. Mom loved us all unconditionally and was very kind, honest, understanding, and a pillar of strength. Mary was the “go to” Mom for all of our family and friends. Mom will be remembered through eternal love as the best Mother, Grandma, and Great Grandma, Aunt, friend and neighbor.

SERVICES: The family will receive friends from 11am until time of Mass at 12pm on Friday, April 15, 2016 at St. Richard’s Catholic Church 11223 Schueutz Rd., St. Louis, MO 63146. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Catholic Charities-Archdiocese of St. Louis, The Tribute Fund, PO Box 952393 St. Louis, MO 63195-2393
