Mary Ellen "Mouse" Harris, age 64, of Imperial, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Mary Ellen was born August 21, 1956 in Saint Louis, Missouri to June Harris (nee Humphrey) and the late Frank Harris.
Her loving mother June Harris survives Mary Ellen. Mouse is the beloved sister of Kathy (Mike Hanley) Harris, William (Diana) Harris, Julie Harris and Jill Schmitt. Mouse is the most beloved aunt of Daniel (Jolene) Scott, Lisa (Patrick) D’Souza, Stephanie Harris and Jerami Westenberger and great aunt of 10 great nieces and nephews. She also has some special furry friends Gus the cat, Ike and Tina the Groundhogs.
Mouse was all about family. If you needed anything Mouse was there. If you felt bad Mouse was there regardless of how she as feeling. The holidays were always at her house. The house is decorated for the holiday and immaculately clean. Offer to bring something, not necessary. Mouse took care of it all and remembered peoples favorites. She never forgot a birthday and even as adults, the nieces and nephews got their Aunt Mouse card with $40.00. She was a very strong person who while battling several health issues kept up her positive attitude and was still concerned about Mom and the rest of the family. There is a huge hole in the heart of the family now, but the family is blessed with lots of memories and great stories.
The visitation for Mouse is from 9:30 to 11:30 Friday, October 30, 2020 at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, Missouri 63125. The funeral service follows at 11:30 am. Burial is in Mount Hope Cemetery.
