Mary Jane Schulte

Beloved wife of the late John Joseph “Jack” Schulte; loving mother of John (Lisa) Schulte, Jr., Jeff (Teri) Schulte, and Jim Schulte (Ken Goldberg); dear grandmother of Lauren, Matt, David, Michael, Catie; Juliette, Clare, Maria and Camille Schulte; dearest daughter of the late Clemens and Hannah Blome; daughter-in-law to the late Bray and Doris Schulte; dear sister to the late Jim (Mary) Blome and Joan (Leslie) Meyer; dear sister-in-law to Jean (Ed) Wilks, Bud (Shirley) Schulte, Dick (Ginny) Schulte and Barbara (Jack) McQuillan; special godmother to Joan (Roger) Agne and friend to devoted caregiver, DeLisa Thomas; our dear aunt, cousin, teacher and friend to many.

Born January 6, 1938, Belleville, IL, where she attended Academy of Notre Dame, afterwards earning a degree in education from Webster College in St. Louis. Miss Jane Blome was remembered by many as a homecoming queen who would marry Cathedral High School quarterback, Jack Schulte. Having raised three sons together, Mrs. Schulte then returned to elementary teaching, most notably kindergarten, where her piano songs, sign language, fun jewelry and enormous smile were legendary. Her vocation, always, to make children love school. In retirement the couple moved to St. Louis County to be nearer to grandchildren.

Services: Visitation on Friday, April 29 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 am at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 676 W. Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO 63119.

A private interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
