

83, passed away on January 6th, 2026. D’Anne was born January 21st, 1942 in Wichita Ks to Lois (Mather) and Arthur Harris. She was married for 53 years to Patrick Dougherty, until his passing in July 2020. She had five children: Patrick (Pam), Heather (Ryan) Bresette, James (d. 2011), Tim (Tara), and Emily. D’Anne very much loved her 12 grandchildren: Alex, Samantha, Timmy, Anna, Joe, Luke (d. 2013), Samual, Tyler, Addy, Elenor, Vivian, Wyndella and 5 great grandchildren: Braxton, Olive, Isla, Sophie, and Charli.
D’Anne was a shinning light to all who met her. She was the oldest of 3 girls and in her early years was a member of the pep club, Jr. Red Cross and Campfire girls. She graduated from Emporia State Teachers College. She had a calling for serving others and joined the Red Cross where she met her future husband and Traveled to South Korea where she was a Donut Dolly boosting the moral of the troops. On returning she married the love of her life. Entering the phase of motherhood, homemaking, continued her work with Campfire as a director and a member of the Daughters of the King with her best friend Sharon Ehrsam. Later she moved with her husband and family to Saint Louis and finished raising her 5 children.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed being a very active grandma. She also nannied Drew and Jace Cherry whom she loved like her own grandchildren. She relished the times she could spend with her sister Carol, talking on the phone everyday and taking their many adventurous road trips. In her free time she enjoyed cultivating her gardens and feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved animals especially her mini schnauzer Chuck.
Services TBD: Her ashes will be laid to rest with her husband at Sunset Cemetery Manhattan KS and son James at Grandview Cemetery Fort Collins CO. The family will receive condolences at 4351 Chateau De Ville Dr. Unit C Saint Louis MO 63129 or donations can be made in her honor to LiveLikeLuke.org.
